GATE is very famous or popular among the students of engineering. The full form of GATE GG is Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering in Geology and Geophysics. This examination conducted all through the India jointly by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, on behalf of the National Coordinating Board – GATE 2017, Ministry of Human Resources Development.

The five major sections of the syllabus are Flight Mechanics, Space Dynamics, Aerodynamics, Structures, and Propulsion.
- FLIGHT MECHANICS
Under this section, questions will be asked from subjects like Atmosphere, Airplane performance, Static stability, and Dynamic stability
- SPACE DYNAMICS
This section deals with various space dynamics chapters like Central force motion, Orbit Transfer, and various elements involved in the study of rocket motor performance.
- Aerodynamics is one of the very important portions from GATE point of view. You have to prepare really well for this portion to get some good marks.
Structures is also an important subject from GATE point of view. Questions will be asked from Stress and Strain, Flight Vehicle Structures, and Structural Dynamics.
Propulsion covers various elements of rocket propulsion which include ,Compressors, Turbines, centrifugal pumps, Thermodynamics of scramjets and ramjets and combustor, etc.
- ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS
It covers Linear Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Numerical methods.
